How did Joseph Price find the knife that he and his two co-defendants say was used to stab Robert Wone to death in 2006? Death - Crime and Justice - Organizations - Death Penalty - Murder of Robert Eric Wone
For the Case family the love affair with quality steel dates back to 1889 in Little Valley, New York. Four brothers, William Russell (W.R.), Jean, John and Andrew Case combined their skills to sell knives from the back of a wagon much like traveling tinkers. By 1900 the brothers established Case Brothers Cutlery Company. Eventually each brother would develop his own brand as the sibling partnership dissolved.
By 1905 W.R. relocated his Case knife enterprise to Bradford, Pennsylvania. W.R. Case became a nationally recognized company when the U.S. Military enlisted their help in developing weapons used during World War I. The accolades continued to pour in over the next several decades as W.R. Case pocket knives were used by astronauts and racecar drivers along with Boy Scouts and as premiums for farm implement dealers. Customers continue to order hunting knives to enhance their outdoor experience – and the company grew.
The company boasts that 125 pairs of hands are required to complete one hunting knife in the 21st century. That may be a far cry from the singular craftsmanship of W.R. Case and his brothers, but then again the marketplace today is global with demand for immediacy and quality control.
Today Zippo, another prominent business in Bradford, Pennsylvania, owns the W. R. Case. A museum specifically dedicated to Case knives and Zippo lighters can be found in Bradford. The 15,000 square foot facility allows visitors to see classic and collectible items and provides opportunities to purchase from the companies storehouse of merchandise.

To do this and save your counter space at the same time you can pick up a nice knife block to use. Not only does it reduce clutter but it also makes your knives much easier to get to when you need them. When it comes to picking out...

Thermal Paper Grades: Overview
Given the numerous applications of thermal paper, leading manufacturers of thermal paper introduce their own grading system based on the industry sector they serve and the specific uses for their products.
Thermal paper grades, therefore, are determined by the manufacturers. They use their own terminology, with terms such as high grade or super grade; however when it comes to differences between individual manufacturers, much will depend on who their suppliers are.
When talking about thermal paper grades, one usually goes by the Alpha grading system which means that the higher the number, the higher the grade (or in the case of thermal...
On a Sunday we were back in Denmark as our ship docked in Arhus, an attractive university town. Among the 300,000 residents are 40,000 students. There was a high school band on the pier to greet us as we docked at Arhus Havn. You could tell you were back in Denmark by the number of bicycles in evidence. On other stops bicycles did not seem as numerous, as widely used, as important part of the culture, as they are in Denmark. We visited the old town, Den Gamle Be where a collection of old half-timbered buildings from all over Denmark had been moved and reconstructed there. It's part of the European tradition of open-air museums. It's a recreated village as it would have been in the...

Production Pieces are Important for All CraftersUnique, one-of-a-kind crafts are wonderful to make and to own, but if you are selling your crafts for profit then production pieces are critical. Although they may not be as exciting to make, having a good back stock of your top sellers will help you be prepared for the future. This goes for all types of crafters from the jewelry artist to the seamstresses, wood workers and painters. The most successful professional crafters are well aware of this fact and maintain large inventories of their best sellers.
As the owner of an online craft mall, I know our buyers consistently request large quantities of the same items for...
