The Colonial Penn Life insurance company was started back in 1960 in South Carolina by the Conseco Group a fortune 500 company. The company was founded with the goal of providing life insurance polices and investment products to people across the country.
Colonial Penn offers the many common types of insurance but they are most well known for offering guaranteed acceptance term life insurance to older people and other people who cannot secure standard life insurance.
Through guaranteed acceptance they will give a term policy to individuals up to 77 years of age and also issue a 5 year renewable term policy to individuals up to age 75.
The best part is they offer these policies and require no medical exams be taken. The maximum value for these polices however max's out at $25,000.
This is perfect for an older individual that wants their family to have financial protection if they die and also provide money to cover ever increasing funeral expenses.
The downside to colonial penn life insurance company is that they tend to have higher premiums then other insurers do. The amount of money that will buy you $250,000 of coverage at another large insurer may only buy you $25,000 of coverage with colonial penn. However the other insurers will more then likely require you to pass a medical exam so the cost is justified.
But if you have a medical condition or have been denied coverage from another insurance company then a guaranteed term policy may be the right choice for you, even with the higher then average premiums.
