STIFFER FINES FOR DOODIE, MAKES
WADE HAPPY!
Adam Wade
What great news!
According to MYFOXNY.COM -- Officials in Hoboken have
raised fines for pet owners who don't clean up after their dogs.
Its about time. Now lets start right off with
the fact that I love animals, I grew up with dogs, cats and goldfish in my family. Each
one meant a lot to me. I also have many friends here in Hoboken with dogs. Beautiful dogs.
But its a simple fact that many many people in Hoboken
dont curb their dogs.
And I have been PERSONALLY affected by it
[This video is of me telling a story about the girl of my
dreams and how she broke my heart when she didnt clean up her dogs
doodie. ]
And Ive been FINANCIALLY affected by it as well. After
stepping in dog doodie for the 4th time in a year and ruining a brand new pair of $120 New
Balance sneakers, I made this public service announcement.
[Maybe city officials watched this video and realized it was
time to either say "Doggie go bye bye," or "Clean it up, Hoboken. Clean it
up!" ]
HAPPY, BUT WHATS NEXT FOR WADE NYSC UPTOWN:
So
do I feel great about stiffer doodie fines? Well, if it means less uncurbed doodie, I FEEL
GREAT! Chalk one up for Wade.
But whats next on the agenda? For me its getting
NYSC (I heard the SC stands for sports club) uptown to
actually have sports channels on their TVs. I mean seriously, they dont
have YES, they dont have SNY, they havent had ESPN in over two weeks (note:
supposedly theyre fixing it. Well come on NYSC, figuring out how to split an atom
takes less time), they dont have ESPN 2, they dont have ESPN News. BUT THE
GOOD NEWS IS THEY HAVE 2 CHANNELS OF CSPAN!!!! Watching those senate meetings
really helps me to go the distance on the treadmill. Whoa! In all honesty,
when have you EVER seen someone working out while watching CSPAN (and if you have, how
terrified were you of the person doing so?).
I cant describe the feeling getting to NYSC around 8pm
to work out on a weeknight when both the Mets and Yankees are playing and Im stuck
watching Paris Hiltons True Hollywood Story on E! for the 10th time (all
viewings of this show have been at NYSC because I cant watch an actual sporting
event).
