What war movie is this scene from?
I saw this cool movie a while ago.Only caught a couple of fragments from it.I know it's a war movie either about Koreea or Vietnam.
The scene i remember best is:
The squad of american soldiers reaches an abandoned town.In one building there's a sniper that manages to kill one or more of the soldiers in the squad. They barely make it into the building and find the sniper to be a vietnamese/koreean woman sitting at a window with a gun, waiting.I think they shoot her or hit her and she's on the floor, asking them to kill her.
Any idea where it's from?
Also,in another (or maby the same) movie also in Koreea/Vietnam, in one scene one of the us soldiers takes some white phosphorous to the face from a phosphorous grenade. One of his squad members has to pin him down and use the blade of the knife to neutralise it,or something coz i remember him sticking the knife in the guy's cheek.
Help me out here, please. 10 points for whoever gets both right.
The first one would be 'Full Metal Jacket' which starred Matthew Modine, Adam Baldwin, etc.
The second would be 'We Were Soldiers' which was about the Battle in Ia Drang starring Mel Gibson, Madelline Stowe, Keri Russell, Greg Kinnear, etc.
I remember that scene because I was cringing at such sight
When you think back on the first time you hit a golf ball, you weren't thinking about utilizing the perfect golf grip. You didn't realize that every last part of your body has to function together to make a great swing. An awful golf swing is what you'll produce if any part breaks down during the golf swing. The proper grip is one thing that will assure you that your pursuit of the correct swing gets off to a good start. In fact, the right grip has the ability to elevate your game just as the wrong grip has the ability to hinder your game. Finding the perfect golf grip is not as difficult as you might think. Many people have experimented with various techniques to discover a grip they like. Or, you can follow some tried and true basic, essential hand placement formulas.
To help your golf game advance, there are a few different grips that you can attempt until you determine the one that is proper for you. The thing you'll find is that most golf swing tips are geared towards a specific type of golfer. Fortunately, any type of golfer will discover that different grips are an alternative for them. When you do discover the grip that is correct for you, practically overnight you'll see your game beginning to improve. Start by making sure that you are not squeezing the golf club to tightly. This will have a profound effect on your whole upper body, not just your arms and shoulders, by making your muscles tense. The normal thought process behind holding your club hard is that a lot of people think that the stronger you hold onto the club, the harder the initial contact will be. It doesn't work this way in golf. Actually, you'll swing slower and with less control when you are all tensed up. By loosely holding the club, you will produce a more rhythmic, disciplined golf swing. This is the swing that will improve your game.
Another area pertaining to your golf grip that must be given priority deals with the correlation between your wrists. It is more effective to have your wrists functioning collectively than separately towards the identical undertaking. One way to ensure that your wrists will function as one is to use the cross-hand grip. A cross-hand grip is executed by placing your right hand on the golf club where you would usually put your left hand. Then, put your left hand on top of the grip. If you are right handed, naturally, do the exact opposite. As you'll discover, this is going to feel a little strange the first time you employ this grip. But, rest assured, because this will force your wrists to function as one instead of attempting to function by themselves. This grip can be used for your normal golf swing and for putting.
Golf swing tips that refer to the golf grip need to be given special attention. If your game is not where you believe it should be, have a look at your grip. The correct golf grip will enhance your game by improving your accuracy and maximizing the speed of your swing, which means more length on your shots. For an immediate boost in your game, have a look at your hands. You'll discover that the perfect golf grip will improve your game and get you to the next level quicker.
