Lack of management in any investment translates into loss of investors money because the investment is unable to keep up with the prevailing market conditions. Asset management refers to the professional capability bestowed upon an investment manager to oversee the operations of the scheme.

The assets in this case refer to the securities that the investors have invested in. They include securities like shares, bonds, real estate, mutual funds and stocks among others. The most important is that you have to hire professional advisers and this is not an easy thing to do, since the advisors are highly paid. There are also key problems that may arise in the operation process and these may include the fact that good performance is not always very easy to maintain.
