Video shames Etheridge, galvanizes Republicans
The video was harsh. There was U.S. Rep. Bob Etheridge, a grandfather with a nice-guy reputation, fuming on a Washington sidewalk. He grabbed the wrist of a young man - then the scruff of the man's neck - all the while demanding: "Who are you?

The Black Dagger Brotherhood by J. R. Ward, is an eight part series that gives you a whole new concept of Vampires being more humanized. It is an entirely different feel for the vision of vampire. Though it still gives you that sex appeal of the creature. The idea behind merging the books together was genius. It really helped seeing the characters from all angles, and gets you prepared and excited for the next book, while keeping the main story rolling. I can honestly say these have become my personal favorites.

Dark Lover~
The series starts with the Blind King, and Elizabeth. The last purebred vampire making a promise to his best-friend to protect his last living child. You get experience this world through a character who has no knowledge of this other lifestyle that belonged to her. It also gives you a look through the vampire's eyes, which made it feel evenhanded.

Lover Eternal~
The second book in the series, was by far my favorite! To be captivated from the moment you open the book to the very end is extraordinary. Taking on a whole new twist, it still kept up with the rest of the Black Dagger Brotherhood. Very refreshing to find a book that can do this so smoothly. A vampire cursed with a separate demon, is willing to live with this horrible creature in order to save a human. I promise you won't be able to put it down until you find out what happens.

Lover Awakened~
Book three was probably the most emotionally gripping novel I've read in along time. I will admit it is a very hard read. Though you are prepared in the first two books, you're not completely ready for what Zsadist and Bella's story gives you.

An emotionally distressed vampire struggling with feelings that Bella creates inside him. I know sounds like your typical bad-boy love story...Wait, it's nothing like anything you've read before.

Lover Revealed~
Book four was, sad to say, on the disappointing side. I expected more from it. From book one I was really excited to see Butch and Marissa's story. Unfortunately, by the end I honestly could have cared less if they were together or not. Don't get me wrong it was still a good read, kept me interested until the end, and got me pumped for the next one. Though stories of lovers who just can't seem to get their stuff in gear bore me.

Although is one does introduce Rehvenge more into the story, who just happens to be a personal favorite; next to John Matthew of course!

Lover Unbound~
The fifth book is another emotionally hard read. Though, it helps lift the mystery of the more shall we say talented brother. Oh, the story of Vishous! Same as book three no amount of preparing will help aid you through this one. From the history of his past to the love he finds in Doc Jane, it will really take you on a ride. I loved it, my readers!! Absolutely loved it!

Lover Enshrined~
The story of Phury was once again a string of disappointment. You find yourself eager to read and instead find yourself dissatisfied. It really wasn't the problems he faced with the drug addiction that upset me, it was the-random change in direction. Change is good, but not random changes. It really confuses the story line and makes it seem thrown together. It felt as if J. R. Ward really didn't know where she was going with this particular story line.

Though, the book had intense side stories. I wouldn't suggest skipping this book because of those side stories. Yet, I won't blame you if you do decide to skip over the parts that holds Phury's tale.

Lover Avenged~
Book seven was up there on the list of favorites. It gives you a better look inside Rehvenge, which after book four I had become interested in his character. It also brings in Xhex another one of the favorites. Book seven opens up the story in a whole new perspective, which is refreshing and gives you as a reader a chance to see a whole another side of this world Ward has created. I liked how she reintroduces Wrath and Beth back in, it gives you a full circle without rehashing the already read.

Lover Mine~
The last book of the series. And it isn't on the selves yet... But I'll be the first to let you know what I thought. For John Mathew was the glue of the entire series!
