YEMEN: Letter writers tap vein of despair in refugee camp

Throughout history, people have traveled as nomads completely free from obligations to any one government and their taxes. Today they call themselves Perpetual Travelers (PT). A PT enjoys life as a tourist in any country he or she visits and as you probably all ready know, tourist don't pay any income taxes.
The myth is that you have to be stinking rich to afford arranging your assets in such a way that you can avoid paying taxes. This cannot be further from the truth. There is no reason to wait for your retirement to see the world and explore new cultures.
There is actually a way to get out of the nine to five trap. If you can do your job from a home office you can earn your money from anywhere in the world. All you need is an online connection.
Many people travel the world and earn their income with the help of an internet connection. Some of them have a mobile profession such as photographers, journalists and software programmers. Others open up an online business or do voluntary work where needed.
In order not to pay taxes, you simply need to spread your practical life over multiple jurisdictions or countries. You have your passport, business, residency and bank account in four different countries and enjoy life in any other country.
This approach called the five flag strategy was originally conceived by Harry Schultz and later published in a book by a author who went by the name of Dr W.G. Hill
In short, Perpetual Traveler is referred to as a PT and they life by the five flag strategy. PT can also mean Permanent Tourist; Prior Taxpayer; Possibility Thinker; Post Tyranny; Privacy Tactician - and any other positive label you can think of that spells "PT"!
