The ultimate fighting championship is an event in which fighters from all over the world gather on a single platform and demonstrate their mixed martial art skills. The mixed martial art skills include all the traditional martial art and other fighting styles like Brazilian jiu-jitsu, wrestling, judo, Karate and boxing. There are many other fighting styles that are included in mixed martial arts. The basic focus of UFC is to find out the most effective fighting technique. The main purpose of the UFC event is to find out who has the best fighting skills. Every fighter in the UFC comes from a unique fighting background. They have different kinds of training and practice. The prominent fighters of UFC include Chuck Liddell, Tito Ortiz, Quinton Jackson, Randy Couture, Sean Sherk, Rich Franklin and many others. Each of these fighters has a different background of fighting and training.
Chuck Liddell has an effective striking background in Kempo Karate, Koei-Kan Karate and kickboxing. He started his training in Koei-Kan karate when he was 12 years of age. He also has a grappling background in collegiate wrestling. He is considered an unorthodox striker, due to his relaxed hands-down stance and the angles at which he throws punches. He tends to use his wrestling skills to defend against takedowns. Quinton Jackson had a wrestling background before shifting to mixed martial arts. Helater trained in kickboxing.
Randy Couture was an Olympic wrestler. Couture is generally recognized as a clinch and ground-and-pound fighter who uses his wrestling ability to execute take downs, establish top position and successively strike the opponent on the bottom. Couture has also displayed a variety of skills in boxing, Muay Thai and Brazilian jiu-jitsu. Rich Franklin has trained in Freestyle fighting, Kickboxing, Brazilian jiu-jitsu and Muay Thai. According to Rich, he first learned submission fighting from instructional video tapes. Sean Sherk trained in Wrestling, Brazilian jiu-jitsu, and Boxing. Sherk began wrestling at age seven. Sherk also practiced boxing, shoot wrestling, and Muay Thai. Tito Ortiz trained in Wrestling, Collegiate wrestling and Boxing.
So many fighters with vast martial art background gather at a platform to compete with each other and demonstrate their skills makes UFC a unique event. This is the platform where the ultimate fighting style is determined. There is no single fighting style that can be considered best. There is a mixture of all the fighting styles that makes up the best fighting method. It is hard to select one fighting style and consider it best because everyone has their own choice. Some prefer jiu-jitsu and others prefer kickboxing. So there is no unique fighting style, every fighting style has a unique quality attached to it and a mixture of all these fighting methods make up the perfect fighting style.
