There were so many families that were affected by the recent financial crisis in this country. This financial crisis has motivated people to take a much closer look at how they spend, save, and what type of investments they have.

Saving money isn't something new but as the "microwave" generation came forth, there has been more emphasis on impulsive spending. The mentality of getting it now has somewhat corrupted the nation. The younger generation of children that are in school now have very little understanding on the basics of money.

Because of the levels of interest rising, there has been more businesses and educational advocated that have began teaching financial literacy to children and adults alike.

Money Management Profiles

Being able to manage money more efficiently starts with a clear understanding of how money is spent and who is doing the spending. There a three basic types of money managers. There are the spenders, savers, and investors. Each of these profiles are described below:

Spenders

This person doesn't plan for the future by saving. Some individuals in this category may think about planning for the future but still use all their extra money splurging on items that they want in excess. So this type of person may earn enough to save but doesn't. They make choices to upgrade their cell phone plan or buy several pairs of shoes, go to the movies every weekend, buy school lunch every day, or spend all their extra cash at the arcade.

Savers

This person saves their money on a regular basis. This isn't a bad strategy if it is coupled with a method that creates multiple streams of income that is residual. The savings is good because it takes care of those unexpected expenses and the emergent financial crisis.

Investors

This person puts their money where it can create residual income over a lifetime. This person does save and will spend but saves for purposes and spends to invest in something with a large return. Some investors place their money in the stock market, which is a riskier type of investment and doesn't always present a residual income potential. Creating residual income is the best investment that anyone can make. This type of investment establishes a more secure financial outlook.

Family Money Patterns

Different family patterns have always been recognized. So why not family money patterns and spending habits? These patterns can affect individuals in two different ways. Some will look at their family money patterns and say they will not follow in that same pattern and others will naturally gravitate towards the pattern.

Families tend pass on different legacies to their children. There is nothing greater than passing on great money management skills. When creating generational habits it can become generational wealth. It starts by some sort of investment and leaving behind a legacy of spending, saving, or investing.

The Greatest Films
You think you know what a MILF is? Lay off the Internet porn, my friend. This is a horror column and we're talking about monsters I'd like to...well, you know.

Simply speaking, reaction wood is abnormal wood formed in a leaning tree.

It forms any time a part of a woody plant is put through mechanical tension. This tension could be the response to blowing wind exposure, overabundance of snow, soil motion, etc. Take note that reaction wood is just not outwardly noticeable, though asymmetric growth is often a trustworthy sign. The wood cambium in the afflicted section of the trunk area is a bit more active on one facet, resulting in thicker growth rings. Tree branches usually have got reaction wood, given that they require support to keep up their horizontal posture. In softwood trees, it will form below the bent part, pushing it up. It is known as compression wood. Compression wood is usually extremely thick, hard, fragile, and is rich in lignin. In hardwood trees, it forms above the affected part of the plant, pulling it up. It is referred to as tension wood. Tension wood is composed almost entirely of cellulose.

The main trouble comes in attempting to recognize it. Even a skilled woodworker might have difficulty recognizing it. There are a few clues that a plank might bear reaction wood. Crookedness in the log is an indication as well as wood fibers that are abnormally thick and hard for the varieties. Really small fuzzy fibers on surfaced hardwood could be a sign of reaction wood as well, in addition to cracks and splits that pull away from the board. The good news is reaction wood is more of an exception than a rule.

Reaction wood is undesirable and ought to be avoided in any kind of commercial use, mainly as its mechanical properties vary: it destroys the actual uniformity of timber. In addition, reaction wood reacts differently to changes in moisture. The compressed hardwood is actually more unlikely to take an even stain in comparison with the rest of a woodworking project. It is usually much more susceptible to breakdown under load and can bust and split easier whenever nailed or screwed.

Now, if you happen to run across an unaccommodating plank, you will understand the reason why your cuts are twisting and curling.

Lord of the Rings Replica Swords

The Lord Of The Ring movies, directed by Peter Jackson, shot mostly on location in his native New Zealand, have become instant classics, their critical and financial success making sword & sorcery movies acceptable again in Hollywood. The films dedication to practical authenticity when it came to swords and armour, coupled with Oscar winning production design, have created a range of replica weapons that should hold a place in any movie fans collection.

Alongside the release of the films themselves came a large selection of replica weapons and armour, officially licensed, from United Cutlery. What makes these items truly special is that they were made with the same care and attention that was lavished on the actual props, in many cases made using the same moulds!

Heading the line-up is the sword of the Kings of Gondor, Narsil, seen in the opening scenes of the first movie, cutting the all-important ring from Sauron’s finger. This is the broken blade that is re-forged by the elf lord Elrond in the final film, becoming Anduril, wielded by Aragorn in the third films climactic battle sequences. Replica’s are available of both versions, and are both magnificent, at over 50 inches long, with high quality stainless steel blades, antique silver and gold highlights and a leather wrapped grip. An equally impressive leather scabbard is available that fits either sword.

Also available are replica’s of the two important elvish swords worn by the fellowship; Glamdring, the sword wielded by Gandalf, and Sting, given by Bilbo Baggins to his nephew Frodo. In the movies these swords warned the adventurers of the presence of orcs by giving off a magical blue glow. Again, both blades are modelled from the actual movie props, with blades of high-quality stainless steel, with Glamdring possessing a leather wrapped grip. Leather scabbards are available separately for both weapons.

Many of the other heroes weapons featured on the films are also on available, including Aragorn’s original sword, the sword worn by Boromir, King Theoden and Eowyn’s swords and Arwen’s elvish blade. Again, the quality is uniforms excellent, with each sword sold with a presentation stand or wall plaque, and a certificate of authenticity.

The villains iconic weapons are not missed out either, with the terrible Ringwraith’s blades, and the brutish scimitars of the Uruk-Hai orcs also available, made in the same fashion and to the same quality as the hero’s blades, although, obviously not quite so pretty!

Finally, for those looking for the ultimate in quality, United Cutlery manufactured a small number of “Museum Quality” replicas of Sting, Glamdring and Anduril. These were hand-forged from carbon-steel in Toledo Spain, and come with additional certificates of authenticity signed by none other than famed artist and production designer for the films, John Howe.

FRENCH VALLEY: Knights converge on middle school

It's long been common knowledge that fury is the warrior leveling spec...but that knowledge is old. Revamps to the Arms tree mean that an Arms leveling spec is not only viable, it is in fact ideal once you are high enough to get Taste For Blood; you'll find mobs your own level die in only a few globals, assuming a decent weapon. So, we'll start with the spec, then discuss Glyphs:

2/2 Imp. Rend

3/3 Imp. Heroic Strike

2/2 Imp. Charge

3/3 Tactical Mastery

2/2 Imp. Overpower

1/1 Anger Management

2/2 Impale

3/3 Taste for Blood

2/3 Imp. 2H Weapon Spec

1/1 Sweeping Strikes

3/3 Imp. 2H Weapon Spec

3/3 Deep Wounds

2/2 Trauma

2/2 Weapon Mastery

1/5 Any Weapon Spec

1/1 Mortal Strike

2/2 Imp. Slam

2/2 Str. of Arms

3/3 Imp. Mortal Strike

2/2 Unrelenting Assault

3/3 Sudden Death

2/2 Blood Frenzy

5/5 Wrecking Crew

1/1 Bladestorm

1/1 Juggernaut

1/1 Endless Rage

Fury will be our secondary tree for our Arms leveling spec.

3/3 Armored To The Teeth

5/5 Cruelty

2/5 Unbridled Wrath

3/3 Imp. Cleave

4/5 Unbridled Wrath

2/2 Imp. Execute

With one point left over. Note that it is worth dropping Weapons Mastery and Anger Management to fill up a weapon specialization IF you have an heirloom weapon. Otherwise it isn't worth the cost of respeccing or waste of the talent not always being used.

Now, what Glyphs are ideal will vary with level, but here are my preferences for Major Glyphs:

Overpower (only until you get Taste For Blood)

Mortal Strike

Rending

Bladestorm

And for Minor Glyphs for your Arms leveling spec, I'd go with:

Charge

Battle

Bloodrage

I hope this spec helps you get your warrior to level eighty quickly!

Paper recycling is the process of converting waste paper into new useable paper. Recycling paper takes half the energy needed to produce new paper. Most trash consists of paper in one form or another. Every 100 pounds of trash contains 35 pounds of paper.

Paper is usually made from trees but cloth and grass can be used to make paper as well. Many paper companies plant trees solely for the purpose of making paper. Once a tree is cut down to be processed into paper, another tree is planted in its place. The entire tree is used in one way or another. The bulk of the tree is chopped into small chips that are eventually turned into paper. Once these chips are processed into paper, bleach is added to make higher quality white paper. The bark and roots of the tree are used for energy in the paper mill.

Recycling takes waste paper and mixes it with fresh wood pulp to create new paper. Unlike aluminum cans, which can be recycled over and over again, paper can only be recycled 5 to 6 times. The fibers of the paper become too weak over time to reuse. Mixing in fresh wood pulp strengthens the recycled paper, making it more durable.

The benefits of recycling paper are less waste in landfills, less pollution in the environment from the manufacturing processes and less disruption of nature. The disruption of nature, however, is not always considered to be a strong reason to recycle because many trees are planted and replanted solely for the purpose of making paper. The benefit of less paper in the landfills is due to the biodegradable nature of paper. When paper rots in the landfill, it creates methane, which contributes to global warming. Recycling services are usually cheaper than traditional trash pickup. Also, less energy is used in recycling, although the energy savings are not as large as they are in recycling other types of materials such as aluminum or steel.

The most commonly recycled types of paper that are recycled are plain white paper, newspaper, cardboard, construction paper, and magazines. Some types of paper are not ideal for recycling. Gift wrap is one type. Paper coated with materials such as aluminum foil or plastic is also not ideal. The processing of these types of paper is too expensive to warrant recycling. It is also necessary to separate different types of paper prior to recycling. High paper grades are separated from low grades. Cardboard, newspaper, and magazines are examples of low grade paper. White and colored office paper are considered to be high grade.

In some areas a curbside pickup can be scheduled for recycling paper. It is important to keep the paper dry, therefore placing outside on rainy days is discouraged. There may be local drop off areas as well. Many offices have recycling bins readily available as paper is largely used in offices. Supermarkets and civic centers may also have paper recycling bins readily available. It may also be useful to cut down on paper usage in general by using computers or email to electronically handle communication and documentation.
