May Day is celebrated throughout most of the world as a public holiday.

May 1 is considered as the Labour Day by almost all the nations of the world. The workers of the world celebrate this as an annual holiday. This day is the result of a massive labor union movement; this day celebrates the social and economic achievements of workers. This day is also known as May Day. May 1 has many other names like Worker's day, National Unification Day, Day of Kazak people's Unity, Eid el-Ommal, etc.

The Eight-Hour Day movement is the origin of this day. This movement advocated eight hours of work, eight hours of rest, and eight hours of recreation for workers everywhere. It was a revolution in that period.

In Europe, this day has a much older significance. This day is celebrated as a rural festival, which is primarily more important than the movement. This is now an international holiday and various countries hold multi-day celebrations. Some of the countries conduct parades, patriotic and labour oriented events, and shows and other events on this day. On the other hand, in Northern Europe, Walpurgis Night is on this scheduled night, and this holiday is combined with the May 1 in some nations.

Although, May 1 is considered as the Labour Day in various nations, Germany celebrates it on May 2. In 1933, May 1 was established as an official holiday after the Nazi Party came to power. It was expected that this day would prove to be the symbol of the newfound unity between the state and the people. The next day, that is on May 2, all the free unions were prohibited and outlawed by the Nazis. Yet, since workers celebrated the holiday for numerous decades before any official state approval, the Nazi Party's endeavor to appropriate it left no more term offense.

Although this day has many names, but the essence of them all is the same - to honor the workforce of the nation. Traditions and celebrations time have changed; so the way of celebrating the day has changed too. Throughout the rest of the world, there are marches and rallies held in various parts of the different countries. In England, a grand march at the the famous Brewhouse Yard gardens starts near the Castle, Nottingham.

Even today's celebration of May Day has a touch of ancient culture and tradition. The maypole is still one of the major features of the festivities with distinctive interpretations. But whatever way you look at it the theme of the celebration is all about celebrating the renewal of life with new hopes, new dreams and new resolutions. Flower baskets are made and treats are left at the thresholds of the loved ones as a token of good wishes and love to strengthen the bondage and to rekindle the lost touches.

German food plays a large part of everyday culture and tradition in Germany. Most celebrations either public or private are always accompanied by great tasting food, as well as exceptional tasting beer.

German food varies significantly from region to region. Certain areas have become famous for a particular type of delicacy. For example Nurnberg is notable for the Nurnberger bratwurst. Munich on the other hand is famous for the Munchner Weiswurst. Interestingly these foods are available at the most simplest of places. They are often sold from stands in the market place, or even the train station.

There is also great rivalry between the regions as to who has the better recipes. There has always been strong regional rivalry between the north and south of the country. The claim for the title of best food recipes provokes a healthy banter between the local citizens.

Germany is most famous for its sausages and sauerkraut. However there are a huge amount of traditional recipes on offer that most people of other nations wouldn't even be aware of. These include unique flavorsome meat dishes, a large variety of potato dumplings, and many types of potato salads. One of the least recognized claims to fame are the numerous fresh salad recipes accompanied by the most amazing dressings.

And not forgetting those who have a sweet tooth, there are also an enormous variety of cakes and pastries available. In almost every cafe, you can enjoy the most mouth watering layer cakes, unrivaled anywhere in the world.

Unfortunately many of the traditional ways of cooking the famous German recipes are being forgotten. With the convenience of large food outlets you can now buy ready to cook German dumplings, sauerbraten, sauerkraut etc. Cakes can be easily purchased from almost any bakery.

The result is that few of the current generation would know where to begin to create a traditional meal.

German culture and German food are closely linked. The risk is that essential German food culture may be lost unless the art of German cooking is revitalized. This is important for Germans living in Germany. It is also essential for German migrants and their descendants who have gone to live in other parts of the world.

We need to make a concerted effort to ensure that the German food culture remains alive. Therefore, take the time and make the effort to teach the young ones the recipes and cooking techniques of old. In doing so the German traditions and customs will also remain alive.

Arab Imperialism And Arab Supremacism

Arab Imperialism is designed for an Arab state to run the world. Unlike others who have tried to take over the world in the past, there is no timetable. Arab Supremacism mandates that those who follow Islam are right and everyone who does not practice this religion is their enemy. Arab Supremacism is helped along by the quest for the oil in the Middle Eastern countries. Arab Imperialism got its start when the west began to be more dependent on their oil. Since the 1970s, when Arab nations began selling oil to the west, terrorist acts have become the norm and Arab Imperialism, aided by money from oil, has grown.

Islamic fundamentalists are not content with living in countries where their religion rules. In the past couple of decades, there has been a dramatic increase of Arabs emigrating to western countries. This includes the countries in the European Union, Canada and the United States. In the past two decades alone, the number of Islamists has quadrupled in the United States alone. And the numbers are growing. Countries like the United States are welcoming in these immigrants under the impression that they want to enjoy opportunity and freedom and will assimilate with the culture. Arab Imperialism, however demands that they do not assimilate with the culture of the west.

Arab supremacism is evident in countries where there is a huge influx of the Arab population. Rules are changed and cries of racism are used if rules are not changed. This is evident everywhere, yet most westerners refuse to see it for what it is. If you mention Arab imperialism to anyone or point out the fact that terrorism in the name of Islam is rampant, you will find yourself on the defensive. Many counties are turning a blind eye to the wave of Arab imperialism that is sweeping over western civilization.

Islam demands full compliance. Those who follow Islam are taught not to befriend anyone who does not believe as they do. Those who are not Islamic are all lumped together and branded as infidels. And as infidels, they are punished. Remember the rejoicing after terrorist attacks in the United States killed thousands of people. This was a time for mourning in the western world, but in Islamic countries filled with Arab supremacism, it was a time for rejoicing.

As the Arab world grew more prosperous, it also began to change. Stricter codes were used to enforce Islam. Women, who had once enjoyed privileges and rights were stripped from their rights. In some countries where Arab imperialism reigned supreme, women were even denied a chance for an education. Arab imperialism seems to be progressing into the west and going backwards in their own countries. While some Arabs who move to western countries assimilate themselves into the culture, those who are strict followers of Islam do not. Human rights abuses that occur in the Middle East are overlooked by the media as well as the United Nations as Arab imperialism and Arab supremacism continues to grow toward dominating the world.

Officials at Soldiers & Sailors Memorial Hall and Museum in Oakland are reviewing security camera footage to see if they can learn who stole a two-foot bayonet from the "Soldier at Rest" statue outside the hall.

VZ58 Rifle Details

Features Vz. 58 P The spring-loaded extractor and firing pin are both dwelling inside the breech lock, while the determinate ejector is located at the base of the receiver. The weapon does not have a square rotating hammer but is striker-fired up and the striker is a harden bar hollowed from one end more or less throughout its entire length to accommodate its own operating spring.
