This is the burning question many out-of-state hunters want to know. There's two different types of hunts in Utah for elk. There's the 'any bull' hunt then there's the 'spike only.' We'll talk about where to go for both of these hunts.

Spike Only: This type of hunt covers much more of the state then the 'any bull' hunt.

1. Strawberry: Strawberry has been famous for hunting elk for decades because of the shear numbers of elk that thrive here. This area is also famous for growing big fish in the famous Strawberry Reservoir. Just about anywhere is great hunting in this area however the north side of Strawberry holds more elk in my opinion.

2. Monroe: This place I talked about before as being famous for the size of the elk and the shear numbers that thrive here as well. If you're looking to fill your spike tag then Monroe is a great place. Be fore warned though this place is extremely popular so I would plan on hunting the weekdays to avoid the masses of people that hunt here during the general rifle season.

Any Bull:

1. Kamas: This area has been an 'any bull' since Utah switched over to the 'any bull' - 'spike only' system. Kamas holds some big elk merely because of the steep, extremely rugged country that makes up Kamas. If you're planning on hunting this area make sure you have access to horses or plan on spending a couple of days getting your elk out.

Utah changes the boundaries of these hunts it seems almost every year so make sure you check the proclamation before you decide on a place to go.

The Prayer Of Repentance By Rodney Howard Browne

If we are going to be anointed, the one thing we have to do is repent. Repent. One thing that a child of God should be able to do more than anything is repent. You know First John 1:9 says, "If we confess our sins, he is faithful and just to forgive us our sins, and to cleanse us from all unrighteousness."

Do you know that verse was not written for the sinner. I am hearing some evangelists telling the sinners, "If you confess your sins, He is faithful and just to forgive you." That is not written for the sinners. First of all, if the sinner comes who has been unsaved for forty years, and he confesses his sins, he is going to have to confess for forty years. He has a lot of sins to confess. That verse is written to the born-again believer.

First John was written to the Church. If we confess our sins, He is faithful and just to forgive us our sins and to cleanse us from all unrighteousness. That covers all types of sins. That covers the sins of omission and the sins of commission; the sins that you know about and the sins you don't know about.

Sometimes you offend people without ever realizing you did it. But if you repent, God forgives you, washes you, cleanses you. That is why you better not walk around criticizing people. They might be walking in repentance and while you are criticizing them, you are criticizing the blood of Jesus. Repent, the Bible says. If we want to be anointed of God, we need to repent.

Do Not Deceive Yourselves

Some people want to pull the wool over God's eyes. They are walking in unforgiveness. They are walking in strife. They are walking in bitterness. They are walking in pride and they come and sit in church and they want the blessings of God. They want the anointing of God. The Lord can't anoint that. God is not going to anoint sin. God is not going to anoint the flesh. God is not going to anoint some little lying devil.

You look at some pastors and realize why they never see a move of God in their church. They talk, but they never fulfill their talk. All of it is politics, to be honest with you.

God is not going to anoint a heart that is not a heart of integrity. God cannot anoint a heart that is not pure. God cannot anoint a heart that has ulterior motives. God cannot anoint a heart like Simon the sorcerer who said to Peter, "Give me this power." He wanted to buy it. He wanted to pay money for it.

Peter said, "Thy money perish with thee, because thou hast thought that the gift of God may be purchase with money. Thou hast neither part nor lot in this matter: for thy heart is not right in the sight of God" (Acts 8:19- 21).

God Anoints the Truth

God wasn't going to anoint Simon the sorcerer. Then you realize why the Church is dead. God cannot anoint a lie. You think, If the pastor has no integrity, God have mercy on the poor congregation. They don't stand a chance.

Rodney Howard Browne feels that God has called them to teach the body of Christ, by example, how to create an atmosphere in the church, through the worship of Father, Son and Holy Spirit, so that the presence of God can be made welcome and so that He can touch His children as He sees fit. Jesus said that if He is lifted up then He would draw all men unto Himself. Our job is to lift Him up and not be ashamed of the Word of God or the Spirit of God.

Rambo 4 Knife Review

The recent release of the new series of Rambo Knives by Master Cutlery has been an incredible success.  Still it has been hard for customers to find out specific details on each of these special knives.  Whether you refer to them as Rambo Knives, Rambo Bowie Knives or Rambo Survival Knives everyone knows what you are talking about. 

It is hard for me to contain my excitement for the Rambo 4 Knife in this recent series of Rambo knives from Master Cutlery.  In the interest of full disclosure, I do sell these knives on the Internet.  To help put my fascination with these knives in perspective, I have access to over 100 brands of knives and this is the first series where I am seriously looking at collecting each knife in the series. 

The Rambo 4 knives have almost a cult following due to the success of the movie and the image that is portrayed for the Rambo Knife.  Even with all the demand for these Rambo Knives there still seems to be a lack of detailed information available on these knives available on the Internet.  Sure you can get the standard specs on the Rambo 4 knives but we have had several requests from customers for more specific information.

Here we will review the Rambo 4 Knife from the Master Cutlery series.

Rambo 4 Knife – This is a heavy bladed solid flat black knife that looks like a small machete and is hand forged from a single piece of 1040 high carbon steel by the same craftsmen that make samurai swords.  It weighs almost 3 pounds.

The Rambo 4 knife blade is 1 7/8th inches wide near the hand grip and 2 ¼ inches wide at the tip.  It is almost a ¼ inch thick at the front edge of the blade spine.  The cutting edge of the blade is 10 inches long and the overall blade is 12 inches.  Going into the handle area the blade spine is over ¼” wide.  The tip is a quasi Tanto type point that designed for easy penetration.    

The grip of the Rambo 4 knife is tightly wrapped with black leather.  This wrap gives a firm padded grip and the grip area is about 5 inches long by 1 ½ inches wide.  This grip design helps you retain a good grasp when working hard with the knife, whether you are sweating or it is pouring down rain.

The butt of the Rambo 4 knife has a hole drilled in it for a lanyard.  A black leather wrist strap comes attached.  This wrist strap will allow you to dangle the knife from your wrist while you are moving things, but still keep it handy.

This Rambo 4 knife comes with a dark brown leather sheath with a leg tie.  The sheath is stamped Rambo.  The belt loop is large enough to accommodate belts up to 3 1/4 inches wide.

Will you be able to pry with this knife?  I did not do a strength test on the Rambo 4 knife, but have you ever tried to break or bend a ¼” piece of steel that is 2” wide?  If you just tried to pry with the very tip you might break or bend it, but if you get a good solid bite with the knife I think you will be good to go.

Each knife comes with a certificate of authenticity.

Do some US military people use pocket knives for anything? I didnt know if they maybe used pocket knives. I have a parker knife and it looks like a tool knife. I hope not.
