Can i bring a pocket knife with me on an airplane ?

I have this swiss army knife that I have and I use it almost every single day. I will be traveling to Vietnam for 29 days and I would like to bring it. It' is about 1.5 inches long and it does have a sharp tip. It also includes a small scissors with a sharp tip aswell, then theres my folding knife with the blade about 3 inches long . are these fine to put in my checked luggage? i dont plan on carrying it on with me through the metal detector and stuff .

In your checked luggage it should be OK, just not forget to put it in before you go to the plane, both directions of travel.

I do not know if there are any laws about knives in Vietnam.

Search for missing plane off N.S. called off
HALIFAX - The military search for two men whose plane disappeared off the northern coast of Cape Breton was called off Saturday afternoon with no sign of the aircraft being found.

Every year, millions of people learn how to fly and end up getting their pilot's license to fly their own personal plane. There are so many different licenses for operating different kinds of vehicles that it can be easy to mix up the different rules and processes. There are driving licenses, motorcycle licenses, boat licenses, plane licenses, and many more. Float planes, however, are a little different in that they require the skills of a float endorsement boat license as well as mass amounts of floatplane training. It could take you well over a year before you are ready to successfully operate a float plane.

Float planes require a lot of practice with depth perception and steadiness of the hand. Float planes are very different from regular planes in that they have to land and take off from a body of water. Water, is not always the same shape and therefore becomes rigid and uneven when something comes flying towards it. One of the hardest things to do is land a plane but try landing a plane on rocky waters. The key to a perfect landing is a smooth glide in and lots and lots of good practice and training. Because landing is one of the hardest parts, it is a big accomplishment when you finally get it.

Another important characteristic of planes to learn when you are learning how to fly them is how they work in the air. You will want to get to know your plane. Understand its weight, its balance tendencies, as well as how sensitive its controls are. Planes can be very different in that, for example, one steering wheel might be very easy to turn, while one might need a bit more pressure. Some planes require a bit more force than others, while some plans are very easy to move and tend to need less management from you, the pilot.

When learning how to fly the plane and when you are taking your actually lessons, it is extremely important that you can learn how to read and follow all of the gauges that the plane has. If there is a gauge with numbers or symbol that you do not understand, that could potentially solve a problem. Therefore, if you are able to learn about them before hand you will be just fine. The major gauges in the plane are the speedometer, the altitude, and the level of the plane. These three gauges are directly in front of you behind the steering wheel.

Though float planes are very different from any other automobile or vehicle you have ever operated, they are still operational if you can learn the tricks of the trade and get your piloting license. Once you learn how to fly them well, you will be out on the water each and every day! Your new float plane will be your new pride and joy and you will be able to take friends and family out on the water, and into the sky!

Connor R. Sullivan recently researched the business of float endorsement company in order to write an article about the subject. His son completed his floatplane training and is eligible to fly.

Gurkha ordered back to UK after beheading dead Taliban fighter The soldier's unit had been told that they were seeking a ‘high value target,’ a Taliban commander, and that they must prove they had killed the right man. The Tacfit Commando plan is a fitness program that's based on the workouts that trainer Scott Sonnon uses with military units from around the world, including top notch units from the armies of Israel, the US, and the UK, to name a few. This should make it clear to you how highly regarded he is. This also tells you something about the kind of workouts you can expect to do in this program: not the kind that you see people do in gyms or just to burn fat, but the kind...

The amount of sound and fury expended on Ballistic Missile defense Shields is sometimes mind boggling. And there are Think Tank academics who have spent entire careers just studying who said what, who did what, and estimating what could happen while determining what it all means. Not long ago, I was discussing the Ballistic Missile Defense Shield plans and the Russian anxiety over the whole issue with Jesse Giraldo, a scholar of Russian-US post cold war relations. Jesse explained to me that; In the end though the U.S got...

Jigged Bone Knife

Western Basin home to jigging heavenA plain jig is an odd lure. It really does not resemble anything in
nature that a fish would eat.But dress it up with some color, deer hair, and perhaps a worm, minnow or grub and it becomes a formidable weapon in any fisherman's arsenal.
It has been that way for thousands of years. Jigs were used by the Egyptians, Romans and Greeks. Even cave dwellers carved jig-looking lures out of bone to catch their fish. So folks
today are just carrying on a long tradition. Lake Erie anglers use a variety of jigs (we also call them lead heads) to fish for walleyes through the ice and for several weeks after
ice-out in the early spring....
