Lance Armstrong's story is unbelievably inspiring. I love this book because it reveals his strong work ethic that you wouldn't know about otherwise. He absolutely puts in the dedication to be the best in his sport. One of my favorite lines is when he says, "The Tour de France isn't won in France. It's won when you're riding in the mountains and the rain, in the offseason. When no one else is". Lance is truly a beast. He rides in the snow up mountains, turns around, and does it again.

In addition to his training schedule, he also has many other things going on in his life, from his cancer foundation, to his endorsement obligations, and a family to boot. His days seem endless. It made me think of how near-death experiences make you want to experience life as much as possible.

Another one of his quotes from the book reminds me of myself. He says, "The surest way to get me to do something is to tell me I can't". This is just like me. The more you tell me that I can't do something, or shouldn't do something, the more I want to do it.

In summary, this book is a great look into the life of Lance Armstrong. It's inspiring and heart warming. I love autobiographies in general, and this chapter of his life is an amazing story to read. It shows that you truly can do anything if you put your mind to it. You may experience some major bumps and bruises and pain along the way, but in the long run you get stronger thanks to these experiences. The more pain you experience, the more you learn and increase your capacities for the next time you take a stab at something. I consider Lance as one of the people that has influenced me the most in my life. I can only hope to be half as strong and determined as him.
